Angel
The so-called 'Angel with the Golden Hair': a Russian icon, from the Novgorod school, mid to late 12th century. Keep looking. It's a deeply strange and beautiful image.
Hey, yeh very beautiful. One thing that puzzles me though is if it's a male or female impersonation I mean look at it - the face has both male and female characteristics at the same time...
Who but I Speaks for the mute stone? For fragile water feels With finger and bone?
- Kathleen Raine
Welcome to PRAYER IS THE GROUND OF ETERNITY. This blog is intended to be a record of a spiritual journey, away from Druidry and modern Paganism, to wherever the writers are spiritually led.
Sprituality - a sense of the holy - is the heart of life for both of us. We can no longer find a spiritual dwelling-place within the spectrum of the modern Paganisms. And yet nature is at the heart of our lives, and by turning away from Druidry we feel more, not less, engaged on a spiritual path rooted in the holiness of the natural world.
We do not repudiate the validity of Neopaganism. It is hoped that visitors who follow a Pagan or Druidic path may find much to agree with here.
Nor have we converted to another faith, though we are a students of mysticism in all the world's religions.
This place is intended as a record of openess, openess to whatever may come. A place of prayer and poetry, of wilderness and silence, of peace cherished in all its fragility.
